not the most convenient setup, sure. but i didn't know a better way to do it 11 years ago, and i'm not updating it, so it's just how it is.
If you hold C, it brings up the Context Menu. Right click on one of these models and you should have a menu that lets you change the skins, that's how you get the snowy/destroyed/different color versions of the vehicles.
There are many other much better HMMWV models available out there now. Pretty sure someone's ported the CoD4 Remastered one, even.
Go try the gmod website [garrysmod.org] maybe they have it there since they have old addons uploaded
If you're having a hard time finding the physbox, try using the "Vcollide_wireframe 1" command in the console to show the physics boxes. That should help you find the physbox and weld the M2 to it, then just do the same command but with 0 instead of 1 to turn the visible physboxes back off.
If you're talking about the soldiers used in the pictures, those are AlexVestin's MW2 Operators, which are uploaded on the workshop as "Viper's Operator NPCs".
