What speed does it do?

The J3A's Streamliners were designed by Henry Dreyfuss (streamlined shrouding with 5 having scullin disc 79" drive wheels and lightweight roller bearings [Timken]) and built by ALCO in the 1930s. Nicknamed "Dreyfuss Hudsons" Ten of these engines were built and pulled the luxorious, NYC flagship train, the 20th Century Limited between Grand Central in NYC (first 32 miles are electric to Harmon, NY) and LaSalle St station in Chicago through the Famous Water Level Route, one engine can produce 41k lb of tractive effort, easily handling an 17 car train (all Pullman lash-up with an baggage-RPO, 2 diners, 9 sleepers, and one observation car [one still exists from that train today after being used on the American Orient Express]) at 90mph. Ran the service until 1948 when diesels took over, ran on other passenger services until their retirement. Unfortunately, none today are preserved.

This is my favorite mod for Transport Fever. Period. I love this thing so much that I've gone into the files and made it do 125mph instead of 99mph, and I also doubled the power and tractive effort to make it even more viable late game. It's beautiful, sleek, and fast to begin with, but a little more couldn't hurt, right? Even now it's powerful, but I wouldn't quite classify it as "OP"... yet

This thing is the king of races. Beats every loco in my arsenal because SPEED IS KEY apparently.

@ravinbernstin no, but with Transport Fever 2 most likely I will "remove" the streamlined parts.

I don*t know anything about valve gears, I built it the way I saw it on pictures...

is it baker, walschaerts, etc

You should add a end date to this locomotive... Maybe around 1950 or 1955?

Its visible to me still in 2020, I have just tested it with "no endyear". is your start year before 1934? The lckomotive does not have any endyear.

This looks like the sort of train I would ride if I lived in the 1930s conception of the year 2000.

could you add the 20th century limited cars that fit with this engine? and then add the daylight express maybe even the unipon pacific m10000 streamlined diesel

Because of the texture, I could try some more metal and glossyness in combination

Great looking model, but there are a few things you might want to fix about it. 1. its lacking textures, no offence but it kinda looks like its made of putty rather than steel. 2. for some reason the following camera is set off to the right a bit (when looking in the same direction that the train it going). Other than that this is a fun addition to the game, given its high speed and monstorous pulling power
