and just for that memory i would love to see this in game, where i can create the ultimate thing from... paints on a war paint... (this workshop gets wierder everyday)
I NEED IT.
Just saying that seems a bit odd, but this idea is far from it.
I could just imagine this concept having options on which part of the weapons to paint that allow for multiple paints to be applied to one weapon e.g. Barrel, Stock, Scope, Blade, Handle etc.
Reguardless of wether or not that happens, I would love to see this idea shine.
Yes absolutley.
Seriously, a glance told me this was a dumb gimmick, but it genuinely looks great on the more detail-centric weapons. Obvious flaws of the Air Strike's smaller notice of paint addition are there for sure, but that Knife, that Shotgun!
Having such contrast with a white base is simply fantastic to the eye. Plus the design keeps it interesting without it becoming excessively busy in it's color scheme. 2
It's just more bloat in the game files.
Let's say i want all of my primary classes stock weapons painted Mann Co. Orange and some Muskellbraun, then i'd need to buy loads of the paints, which will cost naturally loads of ref for f2ps.
That's my first reason and here's my second.
It would be kind of time consuming to implement a feature like this in game. Not only to make it paintable, but also doing team recog painting on it so it can recognize the teams if a team-coloured paint is used.
valve will add a bunch of paintable war paints for one update, then we never see any paintable war paints again
not because people arent making them
but because valve only does gimmicks once
