IMO, the game was perfectly fine as it was originally on that subject, but...
Mainly to avoid conflict with any other items that may modify the same files, but also to decrease the damage if a file is modified by an update, example: Garage.java is changed, so everyone who wants the car-related changes is now forced to also use an outdated garage until you update it and when you do, they now have to reinstall the mod to apply the fix.
Also, why the hell did you modify the main frontend.rpk to add a single icon?
You should give the icon (or the entire mod) it's own .rpk!

(Parhaps change the naming a little, but you get the idea :))
