Great mod.
Issue: “Swords to Plowshares” seems to be giving far more food than it is supposed to. In a recent game, I had many cities with 300+ growth food per turn as a result.

I don't think this mod works with the Europe True Start Locations map, FYI. Works with the other true start locations though.

That is odd, for some reason after a restart, and not loading the preset I had created, the player slots actually are there. It's glorious. Maybe the preset activated some mod each time I loaded it? Anyway, my bad, and thank you (for the mod)!

@Nubis113 this is a known problem since 2017, only solution is to get your pantheon soon enough there will be anything left to pick, then everything will go fine

Hi!
I tried this mod out for the first time, and I wanted to have as many civs as possible on an average sized map. I had the standard amount of city-states, btw. I was not focusing strongly on religion early on, and when- around turn 75 on standard speed- I had to found a pantheon, I could not. When the menu of pantheons opened up none were listed. Since I could not select a pantheon, the game would not allow me to finish my turn, simply opening the empty pantheon menu every time I tried. I did not have any other mods that effect religion turned on. I'm not entirely sure what the problem is, but I hope that you can figure it out and fix it, because this is a great mod otherwise, and it's unfortunate to not be able to use it.

The swords to plowshares belief causes some problems. It seems it gives you +20% city growth every time you make peace, so you get buffs like +160% food or more after a while. Otherwise it's a really fun mod. Keep up the good work!

Hey Tiramisu, ich bin mir nicht hundertprozentig sicher, aber ich habe das Gefühl das der Mod bei kleinen Karten nicht richtig funktioniert. Wenn ich Duell als Kartengröße einstelle und zum Beispiel kleine Kontinente und dann Gegner über die normale Anzahl hinaus dann scheint die Kartengröße im Spiel (obwohl noch Duell da steht) deutlich größer zu sein.

btw, Thank you, Tiramisu. my husband continue to use Better Era Age Screencolors, More Opponents and Religions, and Research Stop Reminder. They seem to have survived and thrived the April and June 2019 updates. I use them with about 50-90 other mods, many have dropped like flies over this time period, and had to be replaced/updated. Thank you for your contributions to the community.

Hi. Thanks for this mod. One question: is it possible to use only the higher player limit without the new buildings and religions? Atm this is the only mod ive found that makes it possible to play the firaxis tsl maps with more than 8 players. But I dont want anything else to be changed. Could I switch the other stuff off in the XML files or would that crash all? Thanks and have a nice day!

My husband and I have been using about 30+ mods, since Gathering Storm came out. We try to keep them updated and report errors, checking logs, etc. and keeping tabs with the modders.

Recently, our co-op game [Korea/Spain and 6 AI's] ran into this issue w/ Jesuit Education: I cannot purchase libraries etc. with Faith. Any suggestions on tracking down the source of this would be appreciated. I can start yoinking / replacing mods. Any other suggestions? Yes, we keep everything updated [mods, OS, drivers, Steam, etc.]

Yes, you will get a higher player limit and more civs per default. Also this mod contains more beliefs and religions to compensate for the high amount of major civs.
The startpos clutter can be a problem sometimes, but it is not a serious issue in my opinion.

@Tiramisu How is this different than just adding many players in the game setup? ...apart from barbarians. Is there a limit otherwise ? And what about startpos clutter?

UPDATE:

- Added compatiblity for version 2.0.
- Decreased maximum number of civs from 27 to 26, because otherwise the game crashes after start (since Gathering Storm).

I am already working on it. However, I have some problems with the new civilization colors. They may disappear, when there are too many civilizations in the game.

Can we get a change on the religious buildings so they don't require a Palace to build and repair and move them to the holy district, since they block a religions worship building anyway.

It should be no problem! In my mod you just have to change the MapSizes.xml file and then set
MaxPlayers="999"
for each map size.

I am pretty sure that it makes the AI more aggressive.
Another way to make the AI more aggressive is to use a modification that reduces the warmonger penalties in later Eras. Yes this mod is also supposed to make the game more warlike. However, the AI is still not as aggressive as it used to be.

23 civs and 23 CS on a large map. Geesh. Everybody is going to be on top of each other.
