so, your funnicular will work almost like the cable cars, but with tracks closer to ground instead of aerial cables?
anyway, might give it a try still. thanks for the work and time on it. :)

YAAAAAAAAYYYYYY between funiculars and trolleybuses 2018 is going to be full-on transit revolution in C:S! Something CO didn't want to implement and we wanted for a VEEEERY long time, especially us living in ex-USSR

...damn, now I need to think up a hilly/mountainious city again!

Yeah these won't work because game AI doesnt have reverse function, aka they cant go back up. Only train and monorail do that, and for them it's not possible to combine networks with roads. So incline wont work.

Funiculars i'll be releasing will be classical funiculars that are in use, vehicle and station set will be based on Stoosbahn in Switzerland. I'll release source material along with them, so people can make their own funiculars and stations.

in my country (portugal) we actually have 2 or 3 types of those trains but in the capital, driving up/down between houses. (hence where my tram idea came from)

i know what a funicular train is, just wanted to see the props and if they were functional (as train or tram transport) to actually have it working up/down straight a mountain...... maybe it would work with some sort of modified cable car props?
