The issue is that it is the sound from half-life source and not the original. Sounds like you're hitting metal no matter what object you hit.

You'Ve replaced swing sound with impact sound - I know I know it's because the system of how sounds work here source vs goldsource is different - so maybe hl2 swing sound would work
