@McFishy, Well if you're experiencing texture problems like that? I would recommend getting:
"Age of Chivalry"
If there's anything that noticed as soon as I loaded this map is that it uses content from Age of Chivalry, try installing that game and see if that will help you.
Material models/table_01/wood_pattern01 has bad reference count 0 when being bound
Material models/table_01/wood_table01 has bad reference count 0 when being bound
Anyone know what's wrong?
The fire-baskets on the ground are sort enough to burn even short player models that are snug up beside them. The ones on the castle are tall enough to not burn the player, but are positioned right up against the castle wall, denying archers certain angles of fire they may need to kill the attackers.
On a similer note, the barrels on the northern wall and the trees around the castle are a bother to work around. The Barrels deny the use of that portion of wall for the defenders, and the trees are impossible to see through.
The trees do make the map prettier I guess, so I can only complain but so much about it.
Not trying to be mean, just offering some critique from a attacker/defender point of view.
Assuming human NPCs have the same limitations as players, they cannot walk over an obsticle over 45 degrees of an angle, or is higher than 18hu, right? But if a invisble stair case was built incasing the ladders, every step no higher than 18hu, but can be as thin as 1hu (front to back) the NPCs can "climb" the ladder.
Overlaying the Func_Ladder over the stairs should make using them as a player normalish, but I'm not sure. It's one of those test and see things. An AI node on the bottom and top of the ladder, allowing ascent up the stairs would help a lot.
Crazy idea from a novice mapper, most likely won't work without a lot of expirimentation.
@Slitherpro86912 Nope, they'll just stand at the base shooting up at you, unless they have a node graph telling them to go up the stairs and the doors are NPC openable.
Bloody coward disabled comments on the addon as well.
Thought you should know.
