why cant i play in this map? i downloaded it and subscribed but when i goto DD and setup a mission Raining ogres wont come up?

Just ran through it with a summoner out for the entire match, the lag issues I previously mentioned were nonexistant, since weapons are far more likely to trans+ than armor. There was still about 150+ peices on the ground at the end of the last wave, but I estimated there was 400+ active drops when I finished it on my jester.

And yeah, that makes sense. I used to play on ranked, but left that behind when I came back to DD, Local/Open is where I enjoy DD now :) This is a great challenge to get good, legit (or at least legit-looking) gear while still maintaning the fact that you have to work for it. Wish trendy took advice from you, my friend!

Hi Kimblee, thank you so much for your detailed feedback!

It was never really my intention to make this very challenging, it was just some wacky idea with even wackier rewards. I also never expected it to be any popular at all.

The Loot
I have already tried to lower the amount of loot (I think it's on the default setting now), I will look into it though.

The Rewards
In Open you can get everything you want with the press of a button so I don't think a diamond is really worth anything. The Ogre Terror Party Hat (party hard!) however is unique.

Loot quality
The quality of the loot has so many values in it's calculations, it's really hard to predict how it turns out. Also note that ogres drop much higher quality loot.

Tower prevention radius
I actually thought about removing it, but I didn't do it because I was trying not to change too much comparing to Raining Goblins. I will look into it, to see if removing it is really needed.

Also relating to loots, but maybe this is just RNG being RNG, the sups and ults seemed worse than the trans.

I also put a bit of thought into this one and decided to voice it... remove the "dark energy" tower prevention thingy around the crystal. It made sense to have that there on the raining goblins challenge since a buffed aura stack could EASILY beat that challenge, but all it does here is make placing auras and traps more bothersome. It's still completely doable if you just remove your gear and put it back on, but that can get bothersome. Just a thought.


I still really enjoyed playing this though! I'm going to continue messing around with this and see if I can't provide any more feedback about it. :)

I'd also suggest changing some numbers around. In my opinion, there's WAAAAAY too many ogres on the last wave, and they're all very weak. My suggestion? Less ogres, stronger ogres. If it was up to me, the last wave would have... about 500 ogres, and they'd have somewhere inbetween 10-20 mil health. You don't really even have to make them that strong, you could just increase the amount of ogres that can be up at once. Honestly, I've seen bigger ogre backup on Tavern Defense NMHC Survival, and those had 40mil health each!


This one kinda ties in with the last one, but the loot is WAY too good for how easy the challenge is. I got a diamond for basically afk'ing on the last 3 waves after everything was lvl 5.
