By the way, I miss your "original" futuristic trucks back from ST.
DEVELOPER:
The game detects active mods for multiplayer games based on the initial trucks host chooses,
so it can't detect mods that don't contain trucks. That will be fixed in future updates of the game!
There are also other bugs which I hope get fixed with the next update including promised features ... such as ... "map upload" to the steam workshop or tracked vehicles. I will not publish, change or update anything before at least the next update for MudRunner is out.

You should definitely look into "World Machine" ( I made the mountains with that application )
The UI looks not so good and can be hard if you are a beginner ... but its still the best application I know. I still use this software today to create "maps" and also meshes (the mountains you have)

I have a personal proving map / test ground with all possible situations ... and I think that the original kirovets is to bad in the swamps. My mods are always (just a little bit) better then the original trucks.
