You can also *tap* the Tab button and it will stay that way but slightly transparent, other than that there's that minimap api mod everybody keeps mentioning in the comments.

can you add an option to make it so the map isn't a square and only shows the revealed rooms (basically that you can choose to have the tab style map without holding tab)

Try disabling them and re enabling them maybe enable the paper map last idk (and make sure to restart the game)

Guess what? it worked after enabling the two (2) mods and restarting the game. This is on the latest version (Repentance+ Beta v1.9.7.8) with all the DLC. yo, I'm considering reuploading your mod but only with the confused Isaac curse of the lost map part. ( not 100% sure yet, only considering )

obviously I'd credit you and everything

if you don't want that I can just type out in a TLDR quick manner ( in the comments ) how to make it so only confused Isaac is shown

No idea, maybe it was something else, after all, and it was just a coincidence that the problem went away when disabling this mod, I'll give it another shot and see if anything changes.

Confirmed working with the Repentance DLC (Patch 4.0.4)!
Subscribe to the mod, launch the game, enable it from the Mods menu, then restart the game again and it should be working as intended.

seems to be broken now. I crash whenever this mod is loaded and I get teleported to a devil/angel room or sometimes just for no reason.

can this possibly be added to the MiniMapAPI i managed to get it working in my first try but minimapapi broke it.No matter wat i tried then verifying/removing minimapapi/clean install etc didnt fix the issue.

This is a great mod, but I'd suggest a challenge (similar to the true co-op) just to format it for brightness and transparency.
