@The Rabid Otter It requires very very little food, can survive in virtually any temperature, lives for 666 years, moves pretty quickly, breeds quickly, and is quite difficult to tame. As for combat, it can't really do much but be a nuisance to hit. But a swarm of them...oh boy.
