Good mod - but engrams for crafting are unnecessary

i'm trying this mod on singleplayer i changed the ini settings and i still have to go really close to the loot to pick it up, anyone know how to make it so that i can pick up loot even while i'm far away

is there a way to turn off the ability to pick up placed items

hello. when you say adds the abilkity to use weapons for any dinos, does that mean i can use my shotgun while flying on my argentavis ? or does it mean i can give new dinos a shotgun or pickaxe or something liek that ? cheers !

Hi, i tried absolutely everything and i can't get the mod to work, every other mod is working but this one, any tips? all the basic advices didn't do anything (gameuser/desinstall/reboot/run only this mod etc...

You need to remove the mod, keep the ini range changes. Then start the server up without the mod, shut it down and reinstall the mod. The range changes should take effect then. For some reason when you first install the mod and start the server up, it gets stuck with whatever you had it set to when it first launched.

can someone please help me, i cant change the radius of the pick up range, whenever i try to replace the INI i even follow the same steps everyone says and nothing helps, idk if its because im playing singleplayer or what but id really like if someone could hlep me

I've noticed that the issue with the range hasn't been addressed yet. I'm not a developer, modder, or collaborator, but I encountered the same problem on my server, and the solution of removing and reinstalling the mod worked for me. Here’s how I did it:

1. Stop the server completely :
- Make sure the server is fully stopped . This means shutting it
down entirely and waiting for around 5 minutes after it's
completely off.

2. Remove the mod and GUS.ini settings :
- Go into the server files and delete both the mod and the
GUS.ini settings related to it.

3. Restart the server :
- Start the server again and wait for it to fully load. Ensure the
server appears in the server list, and you can join it without
any issues.

4. Stop the server again :
- Once the server is fully running, shut it down again. Wait
another 5 minutes to ensure everything has stopped properly.

5. Re-add the mod and GUS.ini settings :
- Add the mod back to the server files along with the updated
GUS.ini settings that include the range changes you want.

6. Restart the server :
- Start the server again and allow it to fully load.

This process should resolve the issue. If it doesn’t work, try waiting a little longer after stopping and starting the server, as sometimes the system needs more time to apply the changes.

Again, I’m not a collaborator or developer, but this solution worked for me. I hope it helps you as well!

Hi everyone I have a little problem with the loot picker mods

I'm on an omega server
I can increase the distance "PlayerLootDistance=700"
which I increased to 15000
I have the impression I can drop the items only 3 meters away

Update: apparently the mod works fine on all maps EXCEPT Genesis 2 for some reason. Not entirely sure why for me.

oh whew, I thought it was only me having the issue of the grab range not changing from 700. I set mine to 2700 and it just wouldnt stick no matter what I tried.

What am i doing wrong?
I have tested this mod on 4 of my different servers (PF, Eternals, AG Reborn and Omega), and nothing, no smoke for bags/egg showing up, nothing getting looted with "G", holding "G" does not open any settings. Mod has been uninstalled and re-installed with server start in between. Nothing.
So how do i fix this?

Have the mod on ASA and love it there on my servers.

Why doesn't changing the ini settings for loot distance do anything? Changed to 2500 from 700 and it is the same.

How can I prevent other players from picking up my bags after I die on G?

Ok, back a year later and the .ini for range seems to never have been addressed? Can YOU change it at the core? 700 is just really, really small range. I like this for mods with extremely op dinos so I can loot without having to get too close. 700 is still in bite range. Even 1k would be a vast improvement. 1400 even better. That or add it to the in game settings and give peopel a few choices? 1k 1400 and 2k? I love this mod, especially with DOX and omeg but at 700 I might as well just grab the bag.

Anyone knows how to fix the range of the lootpicker on solo play? The range is verry low and the suggested fix of removing and adding is not working for me..

Why does this mod need the crafting stacks included? This is an awesome Feature Mod, why tack on something completely unrelated instead of releasing a second mod?

Seems not to work for eggs. My dodos were dropping eggs but this mod wasn't showing them, same for wild dino eggs. For instance I'd find a wild dino egg but there would be no indicator that it was there.

New ASA version will be posted in the next 1-2 days, just putting on the final touches. All past bugs fixes that were reported at now fixed, along with multiple enhancements that I think you guys will all like. Keep an eye on, as it's on it's way!

I'm in the process of remaking the mod for ASA, but i'm not just doing like alot of other moders where they port over a 1 to 1 clone of the mod and causes more issues. I'm rebuilding it from scratch, learning the new devkit myself, and fumbling around with the UI pieces. So yes, ASA port is on the way, just going to take me a little bit as i'm limited on time I can spend after maintaining my work schedule and all.. but yes, it's coming.

Is there ANY way to make it so I dont pick up poop?!?!?!?!! This is the only complaint I have. I use G to pick up eggs and end up Be nice if maybe it only picked up large poop? Id be thrilled with no poop though lol. I spam G right now as im starting on a new save with Omega. ANY egg is useful so I run up and down the beach, so much poop :(

I am running omega on my server and I play on a server that uses this and have no issues. Maybe just some odd settings a few ppl have or maybe a diff mod causing a conflict?

I'm wondering why playing on the server with the Omega mod, your mod stops picking up things after a while.The menu selection and call button stops working.When you unsubscribe from the mod and subscribe, it starts working.And where does this mod work flawlessly with other mods?), is it worth it to make it really work flawlessly?

Periodically, the selection disappears with dino, or on foot!After unsubscribing from the mod and reinstalling it works for a while, then it refuses to pick up again.Client steam, mods steam what's the mess with the mod?)

Im trying to set bigger range, but as i set any value, its still the same range (very small), its bug or what? :(

What dose the slide bar effect when you hold g and open menu isn't it how for away from you it will loot your own dinos

I love this mod, but it would be really nice if we could change the default key from G to something else, as when in GCM G will destroy what you are looking at, it does take all items out of the thing that was destroyed (except paragon souls in the compressor but that's a built-in feature with the compressor in ark omega so not your fault) other than that it's an amazing QOL mod, Thank you

@misterleon looks like they said that it uses the Drag body keybind (default G), should be able to change that

FanFaRRuCho :: not sure what to say about this one as this mod doesn't touch anything with wiping out dinos. I think you need to log this mod on it's own without any other mods and test/confirm that it's this mod and not some other mod you might have installed.

GUNN3R :: due to issues with save settings not working as expected like they used to, not releasing any source if ever till after i fix that, which won't be till after I see what's going to happen with the new version of ark coming out.

十殿閻羅王 :: There is a bug with the settings not changing after first startup, so whatever you set it to originally when you logged into the server, that's what it's set to going forward. I haven't had time to work on a fix, and waiting to see what's going to happen with the new ark version coming out before i try to recode this to fix it.

work around is to stop the server, remove the mod, start the server (server fully started without mod will clear the existing config stored in the game) .. stop the server and readd the mod with the INI settings you want, and they will apply.

Hey, everybody on my server but me and a friend has the servers ini range but me and my friend have 2 foundation collect range. We tried increasing the range in ini but its not working any solutions ?
