Has to be on the server, so single-player or create your own lobby and set server type to "local hosting" (and in console set sv_consistency 0 so others can join you).
Also, check addons from main menu and make sure this isn't conflicting with another mod.

idk why I've done everything I can on my end to get this to work but it won't. Suggestions?

I can also shoot zombies from far away, because these slugs are far more accurate than the pellets! :steamhappy:

This mod works, perfectly! It makes the pump shotgun much more efficient! And now, using the pump shotgun, I can shoot zombies that attack my friends, without having to worry about the pellet spread hitting my friend, because now, there is no pellet spread! Thank you so much for making and uploading this mod!

Yes, I did, and I gave them enough punch to take out a Jockey. That's actually more damage than they should do, based on muzzle energy relative to the Deagle's 80, but, hey, a 12-gauge shotgun slug damn well ought to take out a Jockey.

I'd suggest giving the Chrome its tight buckshot mod so if you find both, e.g. if in safe room 1 you find the one you didn't get at the start, you can choose whether to take buckshot or slugs.

It should, however, go through multiple interior walls and doors:

As you don't often get 9 zombies lined up but do sometimes hear a boomer the far side of three interior walls, I gave it the penetration to hit that boomer.

Zombies ought to count as 3 layers, and the tank ought to count as 5 layers, with damage to first and last not coming off its health because that's just its thick skin.

"try blowing 1 VERY big hole in 9 zombies at a time." But its a slug. i singular shell like, a large rifle bullet in a shotgun how do you kill 9 zombies with one slug? (unless they were all in a convenient line i so pose)
