But to be honest, it is not the fact that sod houses were not widespread during the middle ages that i have not yet made some as mod buildings, but sadly the lack of a model and textures :-( Should that change in the furute and I get my hands on some nice assets, I'll come back to it :-)
About the water problem, sadly there is only one water plane in Forest Village and that is the sea level. If the terrain goes below that, water will always fill the hole, in that case, you can only demolish the building and put it on higher ground. If the builders can't reach the building because the water is too high, it can be demolished in First Person View.
Remember, never dig deep holes at the beach, it is very dangerous!
That is why I don't plan on making an upgraded pit house dwelling.
However, with the next update of this mod I'll add an upgrade to convert pit houses into a storage buildings (considering that historically, pit houses were often used for work or storage, and may have been most important as living quarters when setting up new or temporary settlements)
These upgrading into permanent living pithouses once you have the resources would make these perfect, they look really cool.
And I would love to help you with the creation of some germanic pack, would be nice!!
