For balancing and difficulty reasons, there is actually no possibility to have real prices for the products. As soon as this is possible, I'll change that in my mod.
In A9 this won't come, because the dev is actually finalizing A10 and already partly works on A11.
As of now, you can use it all the while, since "only" the first 10 years are missing.
That could take a while, so I guess around May would be realistic, according to how smooth it goes. Thus I suggest you to not wait and play^^
A completely new category for software will also be ready with the A10 version, since I finished it already to 60%.
Any idea when the A10 version will be availble, I don't really like restarting again if it's going to be a day or two I can wait :)
If you find anything strange or a bug inform me and I will take care of it.
In the future I wll release more detailed patch notes, so you can have a look at what is already done and what I plan to.
Your Fan,
Nick
Either you sell the products for a low price (10-27 $) and don't make directly millions after your first product (Harder Difficulty) or you rise the sale per product to 80$ and higher and earn instantly hundreds of millions (Very Easy Difficulty).
These both act opposite directly, so I had to make a compromise there. As soon as there is another way I'll change that.
Back then I had the opinion that the dependencies with OS and Game Engine were enough, since Game Engine itself required audio tool.
After looking at that again, I changed my mind and just added some dependencies to audio tool directly. I will upload that together with the next bigger update, where new features will be included.
I also found a missing dependancy for one of the audio features on games not requiring an audio tool. Bug?
- Main reason is that I had to arrange the features in a special order, so that the developing screen as a whole doesn't look too cluttered because of the whole lot of features. (You don't believe how OS had looked before I did that ^^')
I tried several things for this, but the workaround with using dependencies was the only one working. Thus you are finding "strange" dependencies. Of course I tried to make them as reasonable as possible.
If in the future there are more modding possibilities I will change that, if the whole system is still existing in this form after Alpha 11 is out.
- The other reason for this case is simple. The achievements are meant to be created from the user and not the game developer (wanted to try something different than usual). To make that possible the game user needs a modification, therefore the dependency.
That is one of the ideas planned for future releases, don't worry^^
@DarkWolfX3D,
I just uploaded it in the forum. But my main focus will stay on steam for the moment ;-)
Keeping that in mind from the start, I built in nearly everything important and what was created in the past, so that you don't have to experience any disadvantage or missing feature.
I also plan to expand this mod further, but due to changing plans from the developer of overhauling the entire feature system, I concentrate on collecting and preparing the data at the moment for implementing them later. Hopefully this will speed up the process after the new Alpha Version is out.
My starting point was indeed 1995, when Nintendo released the virtual boy. But the technology wasn't developed far enough then and it died, so I decided to start from the "second" try (2015-2017), that actually seems to have a better future.
I decided to go for 2020, because the technology is then hopefully developed and cheap enough for mass market. Additionally the other features and categories were all stuffed in the range of 1970-2018, thus I thought a little "time break" between old and new technology would be a good compromise and motivate for a longer play time.
If wished I can change that though, since nothing's carved in stone ;-)
Still, hasn't started being an actively advanced (at least commercially) field of hardware until recently, though it is true that 2020 is a bit off.
(Hope Shadowmaster doesn't mind me sort of camping out in his comments a bit, I enjoy discussing Software Inc. mods, and his mod is one of the best, in my opinion. Good place for active comments.)
