only 80 ingots? that's not a motherload, that's a barelly medium vein! I did found a motherload on the map, holding over 1K gold ingots. so don't worry guys there's enough gold out there to wall your castle out of golden king statues!

PS: good work mate, can't wait to see these silver king statue too!

@TheBoot I'm hoping peaceman integrates the new gold ingots into his trader mod - if they're worth 1,000 gold nobles, and 20 nobles continues to buy like 20 days of claim time(plus all the stuff in the booth), then the gold ingots become insanely valuable

@Stori3d, no rush lol, i was just taking putting the gold statues behind the "grand entryway" research to the next logical step hehe :)

Interestingly, I expected gold to be worth more as far as claim time goes.
A copper ingot gets you 2 hours, and a gold ingot will get your 10 hours. In other words, hold on to your gold! Pay your taxes with something else (I use berries!)

Yeah, I found my first gold vein, along with a dead Space Engineers astronaut in the crevasse up by the north pole. Also had a pretty nice iron vein I cleaned out too.

Stori3d, would it be possible to alter the front the of wooden gate? A grand entrance with giant gold statues kinda demands a gold plated gate to match ;) lol

there seem to be gold veins hidden in all the "natural wonders" except the stone bridge in the rocky desert

Bling! I have a report from someone who found a gold motherlode and had already collected 80 ingots’ worth. He didn’t say where, but it’s out there.

Wow that's gaudy looking! :) I managed to find some gold in my last game session... enough for 6 whole ingots! Guess I'm a bit short for now. :steamhappy:

Thanks all. Yeah I agree, more statue types would be great. I've seen some cool mods with deer & wolf statues, but more "majestic" ones that fit into the Medieval theme would be a big help.
