They work together. In your addons menu they'll show a conflict, but they still work together just fine. :)

Critiques and observations are alays helpful :P as to the l4d1 worker, I remember somethin' funny with that, but I'm not sure what happened, and I think the l4d2 models also have the same head and face skin within their types, because I removed all variety to spare myself the export time. >.>

I see. Still, the L4D1 "worker" appeared without the hat, presumably the guide was made before the model was implemented in L4D2. Also, the L4D1 models all had the same head and face skin, but that's not a complaint.

I used the santa's elves mod as a sort of grocery list, used it as a guide to what files I needed, so the credit really rests with them for giving me a complete list :P
