@Dr_N3rD_L0v3 - seems like it. Really, right now I'm confused more than anything - why would one decide to steal a low-key mod that's still on the first page of "recent mods", and half-ass the process so much they don't even include the description

@Deadput - Always a possibility I guess, though there isn't much in mods that you could attach a virus to. For what it's worth I have Bitdefender antivirus which is rather on the overzealous side and it didn't let out even a peep when I downloaded the mod for a moment to do a quick check for differences.

@shadow79 - yeah, I did put this up less than a week earlier. Near as I can tell at a quick diffchecker glance what daggerrat put is identical, even the ID.
