Snailgames looked at this beautiful map and straight up copied it for Ark: Aquatic, a shame this map never got completed to show off HOW to correctly make an underwater map.

I find that getting items like "kelp" is a little too easy and I feel as though the large kelp plants should require an hatchet/pick to be gathered from

@Trivvn Im looking forward for more updates and to add this map for new adventures when it has come more into it. I hope you will add some new water dinos that can farm all new stuff and so :) Farm dinos like anky, doedicus, mammoth, therinizinos, beavers, roll rat, thorny dragons, megatherium but water dino version :)

The plan was to get to work on it starting in June (After the semester had ended) but then financial issues came up and I was scrambling for a couple months. I'd like to give a timeline on when I'll be updating this, but I can't give a realistic estimate.

It's an individual map. The *required* add on is to allow the map to support additional mods without breaking.

Can this be added to the Rag map or does it make a whole seperate map?

I wish there were more custom creatures like the water snake I know its just a titanoboa but its still really cool along with the wood in saddles being changed to coral

jintoya... that's a good idea. I think I'll rig something up with that once I get the iceberg made. There won't be much "land" since the only thing above the water is a single rock sticking out, but it would be interesting. That'll make this a bit more playable while I'm short on time to work on it

could it be possible to make this map play without the merfolk mod?
im looking to play a waterworld playthrough where i must maintain a raft/boat and dive for loot. its like playing as a pirate...without the scurvy!

Right now, they're not decided on. One idea was a giant squid/Kraken. Another was a giant sea serpent. Beyond that, who knows. @FoxBite, The bosses are currently not playable on this map, sadly. There are plans for custom bosses, but they would be coming much later in the production of this map.

@Nivana, I tried to find out before, but never got a straight answer. The mod for this map is a "Map Extension". I'm not sure if it's possible to run a cluster with a map extension on one map and not the others since it works the same as a mod (on the setup side, anyway).
The mod does change the player pawn, so there will be an added challenge with that if it does carry over to the other maps. Notably, the slower movement speed on land and the quicker reduction of water.
The mod also changes how the engrams work, changing out several "wood" and "thatch" engrams with "Coral" and "Kelp". Since it wouldn't be possible to harvest coral on other maps, it would make it impossible to build wood and thatch structures on the other maps in the cluster.
Finally, the mod adds in the foliage for the map. Since the terrain layout is different for each map, this would make these appear "randomly" on the other maps. (They would be where they are intended to be but for the wrong map)

Why is there land bubbles? i dont think the normal ark boss's can be fought with water dinos.

@ Nivana , This map only requires the ALLUVION Map Extension, which needs to be first in the mod load order. I have run the ALLUVION Map and Extension with the following 7 mods:

1) ALLUVION Map Extension: (MUST Be First In Load Order)
2) ALLUVION Map
3) Editable Server UI (WBUI)
4) The Tombstone (get your loot back on respawn)
5) Admin Trough
6) Awesome Teleporters!
7) EZHeal 2.0
8) DinoTracker Classic
9) Dino Patrol System V1.2b

It worked out well with few problems if any.

I'd like to add this map to my cluster, but will the mods it requires do strange things when enabled on the other clustered arks? (Currently Aberration, Ragnarok, Scorched Earth, and The Island)

Not giving up. I really want to finish it. I've got a lot going on with classes right now, so my time is limited. I've found a job now, so that helps (I was spending more time looking for a job than I will be spending actually working -.-).
I've got several deadlines at the end of March, which means I will have more time after March to work. I hope I can find time to update this before then though, since I really do enjoy working on this map.

Brockster, The resources aren't just renamed, I just don't have images for the resources at the moment. There is still wood in the map, though it may be hard to get to at the moment as it is only found in the Obelisk Bubbles. As for the creatures, they should be there? I haven't heard of this issue. I'll check again though.
manzanares, If you are drowning, it may be because the Alluvion Extension wasn't the first mod in the list when you loaded the map. If that is loaded properly, you can breathe underwater and swim a bit faster (helps to get away from the sharks)
