@SonicSpeedster6 The shoes were from a mod I was working on (and just lost due to a hard drive failure), while the dye in the later screenshots is the Metallic Madness dye from my Robotnik dye pack.

If you have the modding beta opted into, hover over the library tab, click tools, then find and download "Hat in Time Modding Tools" from the list. Make sure you install it to the same drive as you have A Hat in Time installed to, as it draws upon AHiT's files to work.

where would one get the mod tools?

Some have reported the game works fine for them, in fact mine works fine for me.

On thing to check real quick is if you have the mod tools downloaded, try validating the mod tools then open the game. Some have said on the HiT discord that this has fixed the crashing problem for them.

the current update causes the game to crash on load, its not the modders problem but the devs, as the same happens with vine cap mario odysee and wing cap, so hold off on this one until those work as well
