You mentioned that the light armor looks were ghastly, but I cannot imagine Heavy Armored Witch Elves, cause that is the antithesis of what they are supposed to be. Sorceress I could buy, though I'd like the option to have some half-naked (more for character IE some like armor some don't).

I'm kinda' inclined to agree. The heavier armour suits some units more than others. I would've gone for lighter armour for many of the units but, as of the time I made this mod at least, the only armour mesh that worked with the skeletons of the female dark elf models was the female DE lord mesh. I tried a number of other DE armour meshes and they generally ended up looking pretty nightmarish; all stretched limbs and stuff.

Don't know looks kinda weird man maybe if you went with black arc or standard dark elf armor they would look less comically over armored

Thank you for this mod (as well as the other version). All units look so much better, especially the sisters of slaughter. They all look more in line with the rest of the dark elven army. Great mod!

For what it's worth, I do have a mod which I can't publish 'cause it's basically someone elses reskin that I don't have permission for, where I cover off the dwarf slayer as well. Dark Elves and Dwarves just happen to be my factions.

Honestly the only problem I have with the Dark Elves running around half naked is that they live in a frozen wasteland. Then again so do the Norscans. I'm not sure Games Workshop understand how freezing temperature works.

Hey Cvlsoldier, any of Dryrain's mods that affect the look of any of the units touched in this mod will at least be partially incompatible with this mod. I expect that the game'll use one mod over the other if you have them both in your load order, making one of them wasted hard drive space. Sorry about that.

Hi everyone. just an FYI: the Supreme Sorceresses, new Sorceresses, Crone, Sisters of Slaughter and Warlocks all have armour too, as of the latest update. I've left the Regiments of Renown untouched, however.

Witch elves are not cultists of Slannesh. They are worshipers of Khaine, who is universal elven god of war.

The combat bikini is acutally a tribute to slaanesh, the god of pleasure, lust, passion, love decadence, excess and spiked dildos. So theres a point why they are wearing that less. Just for all those curios about it.

Huh, I'll be honest, I didn't even know there was a new DLC coming out soon. I haven't been following this game closely for a little while. I'll see, but if she uses a different skeleton to the existing units it's not going to be possible without a bespoke, customly rigged model. That'd be a bit above my skills, I'm afraid.

Will you make an updated version for Queen and the Crone DLC? Crone would love to wear plate armor.

@Crimson Viper I don't tend to play chaos so it doesn't bother me so much. I might very well make a mod that give Chaos units more armour if I end up playing Chaos.

I'm also aware that in similar mods, there are a few people who, ironically enough, are getting uppity that such mods exist. Necessarily, you cared enough to click onto this mod and interpret this as a prudish hatred of lore rather than what is was advertised as. I'm just confused why the mod that makes women wear armour is more controversial than the mod that changes faction colours, or adds new units.

This might seem a little antagonistic, But the lore was written to justify sexualised dark elven women after the business decision was made to sexualise them. It's not so much a lore reason for why they look like that then a business one. I'm not against that, it's Games Workshop's franchise, and sexuality isn't something to be ashamed of, but I shouldn't have to be beholden to someone else's marketing strategy.

Funny watching people get uppity over half naked women when Chaos is packed with half naked men. Read the lore, and realize why they run around like psychos half naked.

I think it's good that there's variety. Not a fan of it personally, but this is the beauty of a modding scene. If someone wants to do something that they like, adding or removing armors, by all means do it! The beauty is in the fact that skilled people can add far more variety to the game, and the fact you can choose whether to get it or not. People need to chill and stop being so negative~ I love it nonetheless, it looks pretty well done! I'd look forward to your other mods and see what else you can throw up, maybe something may catch my eyes! :D
