really love the mod. Just don't know why plague priest's teachings's mark effect not working. Others just petfect

all of the combo names are reversed in order and a quarter of them don't work because occultist is misspelled in the party name file.
ex: The Blessed and Damned ends up using

leper in 4th,
Crusader in 3rd,
librarian in 2nd,
and Occultist in 1st.

and doesn't work unless you go into librarian.party_name_library.json and change it from Occultis to Occultist.

amazing mod, Sunward trinket + book trinkets make her brilliant glass cannon. Barks, art, everything is amazing, although Bravery potion build is awful.

What's your list? This is the first class mod I'm considering.

After playing over 400 hours of Darkest Dungeon, I've been whittling my list of modded classes down to a reasonable number in recent days. One class that will never find itself on the chopping block is the humble Librarian, who is easily one of most useful and thematically appropriate modded classes that I've ever encountered on the Workshop.

I generally run her with the optional patch, which makes her like an Antiquarian that finds XP for your heroes instead of valuable trinkets. I really like the risk/reward scenario that this creates, as the Librarian's impact on battles isn't as pronounced as other, more specialized classes.

Her characterization, art, barks, and cohesive skillset make the Librarian an S tier character that deserves a place on every roster.

10/10 - "The more you know!"

Sure, it makes sense, but the Bravery Potion + Fingerless Gloves seems designed around using Beat Back super aggressively because of all the buffs it gives that one specific button. Doesn't really seem worth dedicating both trinket slots so IF she ends up in front she can get out, especially since it disables half the rest of her kit.

Yep. Glad you found it. It's less of a strategy and more of an emergency use/get out of jail free button for a situation you'd generally want to avoid.

Woops! Turns out the knockback comes with the full trinket set, not just the bravery potion. Ignore that :)
(it still seems a little demanding to invest her whole build into one button, especially since you'd then need to dance people behind her to use it again)

I really like this little nerd as a support. Not sure how good she actually is at higher levels cause I'm not very good at the game, lol. But it's fun to have a healer/destresser that can also nerf enemy damage, and forbidden chant is a cool button because the stress cost is significant but the effects are great.

The "Bravery" potion seems kind of a meme trinket anyway since she's like, very not statted to use it properly, but just wanted to mention that the self move doesn't seem to work. My librarian has 0% move resist and didn't selfmove once in an entire dungeon. It's a fun trinket idea but even if working as intended, it seems pretty steep to invest a trinket slot in an emergency moveback button that is also unreliable.

the mod doesn't seem to be very compatible with some of the ones that I'm loading I'm not too sure which, but some of the big ones are ,vermintide,sunward and order of sunligh

Ah, I was wondering why the resolve effects I was seeing in game didn't match the description of the mod, it wasn't updated and instead talks about the old system; instead of the new one which is based around getting the books via camping.

The move on the "Bravery Potion" is far too weak to make Librarian a viable slot 1. I've now used it eight times in a row, and in spite of having a 50% change (100% move power, vs her 80%-30% = 50% resist), she hasn't been moved once.

This basically turns her into a really, really mediocre Bounty Hunter (Uppercut) with a single skill. Since she isn't moved back, she is 100% useless unless you manually move her, or build a move team around her.

Her buffs aren't powerful enough to warrant such a turbo-niche team. Just make the skil have Back 2 on it instead of a move chance. Right now, she's a mediocre backrank power-level character and nothing else.

Any interest in porting this over to Black Reliquary?

None of the "set buffs/debuffs" ("Furious Facts", "Knowledge Overwhelming") from trinkets seem to work for me? For example, A "Bravery" Potion gives -15% DMG Received, +5% CRIT, etc. but it doesn't make Beat Back any more powerful, nor it makes Beat Back self-push you

Not going to lie, been using this mod religiously for every playthrough without realizing: what is she meant to be played as? She's just a support, right? Not an antiquarian equivalent?

Part of her backstory is she got bitten by dogs I think ... it adds some extra flavour to the character and some extra thinking to the player

The reason we changed the way the xp system worked is because the old system rounded up to the next multiple of 100% (so 101% was being counted as 200%). The new system has it built into her camp skills which create consumable items that grant an xp multiplier. That way you get to choose to use her xp boosting abilities or not. It's optional instead of forced.

Sny, those are outdated videos. We changed the way she affects resolve xp. Now it is no longer an effect on her skills. Instead she brings some supply items with her that can boost resolve xp if you use them (leaving you the option to not use them if you don't want to level so quickly).

Hello! First time using the mod. I saw videos that explained that she has a boost to resolve XP but i dont see it written anywhere. Could it be a mod conflict? Or does she get that mechanic at later resolve levels (mine is currently level 0)

As a librarian and archivist she's obviously part of the Athenaeum (where all the good books are kept).
