This has been the best southwestern desert map I have found so far. It understands two things; there is sage, greasewood, and other shrub in the desert (albeit there appears to be stand-in approximations, better than nothing), and, no palm trees that look like they are from Saudi Arabia or a tropical island. The sands are also bright.

I do wish there were saguaro and cholla cactus but I can easily spray those in.

The theme is low rez so I've taken to replace some choice items with theme mixer. But very happy this map exists or would have given up on my hope for a proper AZ desert. My town will be called Quartzsite City ;)

does this still work without the no radioactive desert and more mod?

whenever i try to start my save of a game with this map and theme, the game tells me that it could not find the theme that is in the map, rather than starting normally it tells me that the game will load with the standard theme. what should i do?

That's really cool! So far, I've been to Boulder City and Vegas too, really very beautiful. I'll keep in mind building a more realistic map around the Hoover Dam and Boulder City. :)

How cool 16hypen3sp!! When I was going to Vegas, I went into Kingman and was very lucky to see two trains going in opposite directions on the mountain, really a very beautiful place. I tried to recreate the same railroad and the route 66 on this map :D
