You've made an action movie!
"Now I have somewhere to park my tanks." You sure do, on top of all those poor unspecting peoples' cars!
Well I'd really like to see that, it will be great for people who want to build a "New York" style city
I was tempted to do an actual 2 story “Mall” the only problem was that I calculated the space at a minimum 9x6 lot size (not counting parking). But as you said, it would take a while (but can be fun albeit tedious in part). I am tempted to do something with the residents on the top floors of a building... it just comes to style: American, modern, or European. And classifying the lot as commerce with no residents. I think I will take a stab at your second recommendation in the short term. I do have a building I’d like to try to recreate that matches that style.
Maybe you could make a large two story department store. You don't see too many of those in small towns. That might be simplier, even if it would take you awhile to build.
You could create a few small shops with three to five stories of offices above them, or maybe just empty floors to give the illusion of densely populated commercial sector. Than agian, you're supposed to be able to get inside the buildings in the game, so that might be seen as kind of lazy. But you could easily use the "/lot save (n/s/e/w) file name" code to copy floors. Shops in densely populated areas of really big cities are usually at the bottem of buildings that have apartments or offices on the upper floors.
Then I'll definitely try to find ways to get more added. Just need some ideas for what to do. I'm contemplating doing a mock-up of a "Stock Exchange" -- to compete with the bank, economically -- but I do not have any true idea finalized at the moment, and I'm still being experimental with spawn zones.
Cool there aren't too many urban looking commercial buildings in the game for some reason, and this one definitally looks like it belongs in the middle of a big city.
