I like it a lot, but I agree that it needs some virtual sand blasting

Adding some textures would be pretty cool, otherwise it just looks like solid color

I second what Kodiakultimate said, the pattern looks great, but it doesn't look like the skin has much texture to the model and looks more like flat colour. If you could do that, it would be much better.
