A great map for this @Machinecult would be Chapparel if you dont mind downloading all the required materials and having all the games needed and mounted to run it. It features an old Aircraft boneyard with a sort of sand style runway like in GTA SA.

@Ghastly Gibus No you mean F4U Corsair with the Polyhedral W style looking wings. The F4F was the wild cat big and fat Tub looking. However the front screenshot of it inflight resembles a spitfire. Due to the Dihedral shape of the wing it takes. On the ground from the rear the W shape looks like a Corsair but the inflight picture does not have that W shape making it look more like a Supermarine Spitfire but its really neither and a Junk plane lol. This reminds me of my first dupe I put on the workshop which I modeled after a P-51 but never could fix the dang the thing to fly right.
