I think i've found a bug :

If you filter all the items of a pool, the game crash and if you want to continue, the game crash again.

I've got the problem after the knight of apocalypse, since no items of the usual reward was possible, it crashed.

If I leave a run, enable the debug console and try to continue the run, it crash. Same if I leave the run, disable the debug console and try to continue. Could you fix it pls? love the filter.

He needs to update the mod, just it.

I banned a coupe pills and cards, but now there are cards and pills spawning that I never unlocked. For example, I banned the fool, and I got "Rules card" which I never did the challenge for. This happened almost every run where I get something i'm not supposed to yet. Could you please clarify this?

I was wondering if this mod re-rolls the items when they appear, or outright removes them. Thinking about it, if I remove 50% of all trinkets, and the mod removes banned trinkets when they appear on a run, it would lower the chances of finding trinkets by 50%. Wouldn't it? That is, of course, if it removes them upon spawning. I hope you could clear this up :)

Finally, all the item pools are no longer flooded with complete crap, thank you so much

Why has this mod never gained any traction? I don't know if I would ever play without it. Hopefully this will get an update if needed in a month.

Can this mod ban some of the mod items?

I would suggest making your mod load after most other mods, by putting 3 uppercase A's before the name in the metadata.xml, because unfortunately your getcard function seems to disallow any mods loaded after yours from spawning their cards through the same callback, even if they're allowed to spawn through use of your menus it seems.

Thank you!!! Easiest way to remove annoying things like cursed eye and retro-vision that I've found. This is a great and easy to use mod (considering what it does). Super appreciate you making this.

Thanks for this mod. Tears down pill was really making me regret taking any pills and I don't want to completely ignore an element of the game. So just disabled that 1 pill makes pills bearable.

Some API features are broken on Macs. I can't check it myself, but this version [www.dropbox.com] might work for you.

Could not get it to work... I can change the keybind to open the menu on the console, but when I press it, it won't open...


I'm playing on a Mac, maybe it's something to do with that?

It's permanent, but apparently updating a mod removes its save data, which I found out only now. You can back up all settings by making copies of the save.dat files found in the ..\My Games\Binding of Isaac Afterbirth+ Mods\Item Pool Filter folder.

Is there any way to make the banned list permanent? I spent all last night getting rid of like 100+ items and now its all unbanned again.

can anyone here help me, i unsubbed from all my content on the workshop for binding of isaac and i still cant get the game to launch. any information would be greatly appreciated

Confirmed it works. It reset the filters but no big.

I figured it out, it doesn't work with a controller enabled.

I did try that. Am I misunderstanding when or where I'm supposed to use it? It's during a run, right?

Weird, there aren't any errors, and it works for me with all the mods you have installed. Have you tried rebinding the menu key?

Try changing it to a number key and see if it works (e.g. "ipf setkey 5"). If it doesn't, there must be an error in your log file, and I need to see it to figure out what's wrong.

I am pressing the backslash key but the menu is not opening, what am I doing wrong?

Disabling specific drops sounds like a feature for a separate mod that replaces entities in general. I may look into that in the future, probably whenever the API is updated.

This is the mod i've been waiting for! I didn't have the skill to put it together myself, so I'm glad to see someone else has and you've done a fantastic job on it too.

If your looking to expand it in the future you could include options for disabling specific drops (hearts,coins,bombs) and curses.
