I would happily make this re-encode your mp3 files in the proper format but I can't really ship DLLs with addons over here as they're dangerous. If I could I'd have sorted the thing out once and for all.

This dang thing is the only one that will do postround music but it has done nothing but cause trouble, it is so picky with the kind of file it HAS to be a mp3 and even if it IS a mp3 I can't get it to freaking work!

hi! i just recently downloaded this addon for my dedicated 3rd party hosted server, and while it does work for me as i can hear the music, the other server players cant. How can i fix this?

If anybody is interested in doing the work, it looks like sound.PlayFile would work instead of surface.PlaySound. It takes a volume parameter which you could expose as a client conVar. Just note that sound.playFile uses a path relative to the base garrysmod folder, not garrysmod/sound

Hello, and, when I rewrote this I had forgotten I had that option enabled in the first version. So I missed it.

I don't know if I will fix this up or when, but this has got its github repo if you want to give it a try yourself.

Issues with file will always mention the sample rate or something about corruption, if it says "probably missing" then it's probably missing

I've got the addons in the server and the message box pops up saying it's playing, but it doesn't play

Is this an issue with the FastDL or the file?

You have a point. The previous version required a config file which most people did not correctly setup, but it allowed for no duplicates. This method almost completely eliminated installation errors, but it came with this drawback. I apologize, I think it's best this way.

Also, I kind of retired from gmod coding so, I don't know if or when I'm going to change it at all.

Can you release a version with just one folder for all? Because I want to use the same music on every group and If I put it on every folder it downloads it 3 times and this takes long on loading screen whyever

It's likely an issue with your server provider or fastdl configuration (latter is more likely). If you're locally hosting, many people have issues and this addon isn't meant for that.

Try resyncing fastdl.

I´ve done everything like in the video but still have a problem.
The folders and the music in it wont get downloaded to the players pcs.

Hay have a little Problem.
First a little Notice, the addont dont work with ttt2.

My Problem is this, i have change back to normal ttt. Have create the folder on my V-Server and create the different folders. Put in some Songs and .txt files. After Restart the Server and after the Round end it will show me the Title and the Artist of the Song but it dont play the Song.
I have uploaded in .mp3 format?

I think the configuration to do when you don't have a fast-dl server is much different and I have no experience with it.

I don't think so, it depends. I have never tested it on peer-to-peer as this is aimed more at communities with dedicated hosting using fast-dl servers.
