Well, there is your answer. None of my ships were built with those addons in mind.

I also had a destructible prop addon which allowed metal to break after pummeling from the cannons.

Nvm, it's actually pretty damn effective.

Also, the fire itself seems to do less damage to props than it normally does, it just seems to spread over a wider area more easily, having somebody with a fire extinguisher can probably deal with them pretty easily, I dunno.

Ok, I'm back, I tested this Frigate out against my Dreadnought and it seems like the fire took a while to get to the explosive shells inside the hull. I think it shouldn't be that much of problem if you can quickly extinguish it, especially if the ship has deck armor, like my Dreadnought does. I'll need to do more testing though, but it's a interesting addon.

Basically all my ships predates that thing. I never made my ships with that thing in mind and depending on how it works, it's probably not possible to counter it.

VFire drastically increases shell damage, causing those "worthless against armor" HE shells to slowly burn down the ammunition racks of other ships, although it takes about enough time to destroy the frigate.

Try single player first. Most servers might have limits on certain components. Remember to unfreeze it.

Well, it's steam and sail. The only way I could have made the sails functional was to use fin 2 and I didn't feel like doing that.
