An interesting problem. I've never experienced that myself. Perhaps you have a mod which has replaced the vanilla flag textures?

First, look at your subscribed items in the Workshop. Filter it by recently updated and check for any culprits. Then filter it by recently subscribed, again note possible culprits.

If you are not using the Community Mod Launcher, you should be. Check CML for mod conflicts and recently added. Disable all suspected cuplrit mods and load into the Avenger. Check if the issue was resolved by one of your disabled items.

If not, start disabling large chunks of your mod list in CML, and load into the Avenger. With luck the flags will return at some point and then you will know it was one of the mods in the last batch you disabled. Good luck! :ethereal:

hey, don't know if you check this any more but I'm running into a minor issue and I'm not sure which mod it's for. for some reason, every single character has an american flag armor set, regardless of nationality, and I don't see any way to change it other than just removing the armor entirely. any help would be appreciated, and I'll try to troubleshoot on my own

Version 14 is here! I revised every item on the list, checking their comments for issues or replacements. 22 new mods, 21 replaced with newer versions, 33 mods removed.

@Cato Ah didn't look hard enough I guess, really didn't think about checking comments on the screenshots!

I will try that I'm currently checking some voice packs and I'll follow your tip in that regard.

If I could give you one tip for your own Character Pool, it's build your operative around a voice pack. Think about what attitude and style fits the voice, and you get unique characters. Of course 'Even More Backstories' mod may help with that too :ethereal:

@Cato Hi there, first I' d like to thank you for the awesome collection.
I'm late to the show and wanted to try the WOTC expansion so have been looking for mods to spice things up since I was an enjoyer of the long war mod for the xcom 1 game.
I was wandering if you've published any character pool using this collection, as I was checking around your work, I fall in love with some of the character your created in the video or images. Thanks again

Bug report, current version: Hacktivist starts with pistol equipped, instead of shotgun. Can change to shotgun fine. Thanks a lot for the mods!

Awesome Collection that adds various new features and makes new games 10x more fun with 2x the more options. Totally worth the download plus extra time on your schedule to add his suggested cosmetics and a few interesting mods of your choice, like augmented limbs mod Just don't flood your pool. No errors and no conflicts thus far, thanks for this saved a lot of time searching.

My collection runs on DerBK's standalone AI pack, with his bolt-on Militia and Chosen packs. All of the enemy mods run using their own logic or DerBK's. The AA Suppression mod simply adds a skill to Advent Troopers, which DerBK's AI can use.

Fairer Lost Targetting & World War L is it's own runtime which I've been using for probably a thousand hours.

Yes, I just do not use it since I found the Hive unbeatable / omega salt inducing on Legendary. 64HP monsters with 3 armor pips vs CPL's with Tier 1 weapons.

Maybe its more balanced now, I don't know.

Never seen that myself. Be sure to check your mod subscriptions for anything related to Gatecrasher, clear you user INI cache and verify your game install.

Thanks for the offer Cato. I fixed the dependencies, no problem.
And also fixed my issue with WOTC Jet Packs no working.
Apparently I'm an idiot and didn't have the Alien Hunters DLC, which it's dependent on.

All fixed and tested last night, looking forward to diving in for real this weekend!

Missing dependancies, check each instance by going to that mod page. Sometimes authors add in mods to 'Required Items' which are not actually required, just recommended. The Mod Manager cannot tell the difference and think it is a dependancy.

WOTC Jet Packs is by Iridar. Try unsubbing then resubbing that mod since it may just be incomplete (workshop error).

Did you clear out your INI cache? Highly recommend it after several years away, since you may have retained old mod configs.

The 2 conflicts for Gotcha / Peek are expected and ok. They self patch according to the mod pages and I played them together for literally a thousand hours.

Installing your modpack, looks very meaty, just what I was looking for after a few years hiatus.
I'm seeing quite a few missing dependencies aswell as 2 conflicts (Gotcha Again / Peek from Concealment).
Is this normal, or something I need to fix myself?

I've removed several mods which have since degraded - Raider HQ in particular was bugged.

I would avoid Raider Geth and also the Friendly Forces mod, tried both and did not like.

I would also avoid playing Ironman mode with this large a collection, you don't want to lose a save file from a unforseen bug/crash. I try my best to ensure stability but when you mod this heavily transient errors can happen, especially during map clean-up scripts.

Raiders are a double-edge sword on Legendary. 75% of the time they are very useful and almost feel like a rival, respected faction. I like to ghost in and watch SCP & ADVENT tear into each other, then pick off the survivors. Alternatively, sometimes they distract on the map edge, helping you reach evac.

25% of the time they surprise you at the worst possible time, butchering your squad in a cross-fire with ADVENT. It's all good.

@shockthemonkey Hello, I think that the factions are a really nice addition to the game. The only problem I have is that now my soldiers are very attracted to the lost clown and children, especially when they fall down walls. For some reason the zombies also dont pick up the magazines on the border of the screen which means that they have increased mobility (but this might only apply to indoor combat, which is really strange too). Further the raiders seem to throw a lot of valets around and sometimes it can be good when they attack the advent and sometimes also bad if it hits my scientists.

Overall i really enjoy the modlist and the new bleedout mechanic is really nice too!

Also an open question to anyone who uses this collection, including the author. What is your experience with the raider faction mods, and do you have any tweaks to these mods? For me, they have been a scourge in the early game, making certain missions impossible by activating VIPs and killing rescue-able soldiers before I am even close to them.

I really enjoy the variety these mods give, but I want to start a new campaign in ironman, and am not comfortable with the impossible situations raiders can seem to create.

Hey Cato, just wanted to say a big thank you for your collections, and your chimera mods. For a long-time X-Com fan like me, your choices strike the perfect balance between preserving what's good about the base game, and injecting lots of interesting new spice. Love it.

Version 12 deepens the functionality already added to existing systems. The Armory and Tactical HUD get even more script extensions and the Physics FX engine gets upgraded. New squad items such as the Rocket Launcher & Jetpack expand your options, while new mechanics such as Stealth Kills and Grenade Scatter change your outcomes.

Sure, I've used both extensively. Both allow core recovery and give a utility slot.

MoF upgrades SPARKs incrementally through Proving Ground upgrades and items. It's a longer approach where SPARK's start terrible, then get lethal.

MW overhauls SPARK perk paths, gives new abilities, provides Reboot and bonding. SPARK's are decent immediately and can 'repair tank' very effectively.

Ultimately MoF gives you stronger SPARK's, but MW makes them fun in the early game and have a role to play in Chimera.

So I made a mistake with reverting back to Richard's SPARK rework. Turns out, it is not compatible with my very own Chimera Perk Pack.

Back to Mechatronic Warfare. At least the emergency reboot is a cool feature.

Yeah I deliberately disabled the Inferno from spawn in the last update to Chimera Classes. It's an experimental balance change. Please see that mod's page for instructions on how to re-enable it if so desired.

Right now I'm having an issue with classes. Apparently the "Inferno" class is missing.
No soldier evolve in "inferno" and also in GTS the class is not available.
Is something know or i'm the only one?

There is also a setting in Mod Launcher which hides past entries. Try unchecking 'hide mods' which may restore items previously unsubbed from.

If you literally just hit subscribe to all then Steam was probably still downloading everything when you checked. Try entering and exiting the mod launcher a few times and check steam's download tab.

If you believe everything is correctly downloaded already then try clearing the mod launcher config, it should be under File, reset mod entries.
