Thank you for the review.
Warning: This review is in no way a personal attack on the authors character, please take this review as a critique of his work rather than the man behind the work.
Archer is a compilation mod created by Robotshark12, it shows of a variety of gameplay mechanics from first person platforming to puzzle solving.
Pros:
- I really did enjoy the first level, the platforming there was very cool and dream like, very nice work there
- A lot of the levels here are very open and abstractly designed with some very creative choices of scenery and decoration
- Not a single serious performance drop, even with my medium range PC
- A lot of the levels seem to be sparsely detailed with not a lot of effort being put into interesting level design (in terms of what you walk around in, not the scenery itself)
- The Yoshida level was, to put it bluntly, god awful. With a very annoying monster that can be easily avoided (due to poor path node placement) you can lock him in an openable door and go along your day. Switches are turned on without telling the player what it actually did and to top it all off the water was too dark to see if a hole in the ground was opened or not (it was pure luck I fell into it. I delayed my review just so I wouldn't have to complete this level.
- Very short (but this doesn't effect the score)
