@wolverind So you dare challenge the Sentinel wolverind? ^^
@Chief Engineer Caswell Wow not at all what i had expected but i see why that is... Thanks for testing that! Like he said bring a buddy Sentinel Captains! :D
@Supercx2 I decided against a gravity shield because of the sheer amount of point defense and because it would severely mess with the mass driver...
Just ran that broadside test, the Ascendancy won.
Sentinal: complete destruction, no functioning systems.
Ascendancy: Substantial localized hull damage, functioning control and sublight maneuvering systems, functioning assemblers and refinery, limited FTL could be restored relativly easily.
The only chance the Sentinal has is ambushing the Ascendancy from long range with its gravity cannon.
Both ships carry fighter craft, but the Ascendancy can carry more of its outdated craft, it seems, than the Sentinal has modern fighters to account for. The Sentinal's point-defence would make a fighter attack dangerous, so the Ascendancy would probably keep its fighters on defense.
While possesing fewer weapons, the Ascendancy's sheer mass allows it to outlast the Sentinal close in, and thanks to its gravity shield, thats probably where the battle would have to be fought.
the decoy systems on both ships would be a moot point as they both have them, and the sheer amount of fire power would make the time the turrets are destracted almost nothing.
My advice to Sentinal captains, bring a buddy.
Sorry about the repetitivness... This is an older hull.
I will definitely consider a twin hull. Thanks for the advice
- 4 Renegade Fighter Bombers
- 3 Raptor Superiority Fighters
- 2 Raptor/Renegade and 1 Wildfire Heavy Fighter
- 5 Nightshade Bombers
Be careful when launching fighters. The hanger can get very cramped and therefore, you should first fly downward before flying forward. Doing so makes sure that the engine burst does not burn away parts of a other strike craft.
Looks great as usual, If a tad repetative considering your other ships.
Ever consider a twin hull of sorts? Might make a good large carrier with the door in the middle and a point to either side.
@budgie Oh i feel you man...
@Son o'Petrified Haha thanks! :D
