Cool, I just found this out on like Sept. 6th. I had no idea all my ships were giving me different numbers in atmoshpere based on Inv. Settings. Ships that can space and atmosphere are the best

Alright, if I'm correct, it stops can sustain altitude on an earth-like planet up to somewhere between eight and ten million kilograms

All my ships displacement changed based on Inventory Size in advanced settings. come to find out the game automatically sets it to Inventory Size 3x and one of my ships is zero atmo capable on Realitsic. tested on Easy Start Earth, no mods

When you put things in containers, they have mass, so the container weights more. Therefore the force of gravity is greater and you need more thrust to fly in atmosphere.

How so? As in how much the containers are carrying, or is it complex as to it increases container size, and therefore the mass of the container?
Also, an empty ship can fly in the Earth-like atmosphere, if that helps at all

Haven't tried in atmosphere? I learned the other day that inventory size (realistic x3 x10) affect how much mass thrusters can displace in atmosphere.
