It isn't impossible but I'm currently buried by work at the moment due to the virus so it will be a few days before I can dig up the hold files.
This mod was made just days after the original XCom 2 was released and just modified to make it work for WOTC so it is most definitely not the best way to do things as there wasn't any documentation yet.
If no-one releases a better version of this I'll take another crack and see that is going wrong.
Not sure, but i believe hunter weapons were never meant to be upgraded. Maybe something with the code?
Not that you can upgrade shadowkeeper or axes without special mods that allow it. And boltcaster becomes OP with +3 ammo upgrade.
Could you please include pistols in this mod? I use the mod "Primary Secondarys", so far, the pistols have a slot, but unfortunately only one slot.
As i understand it all custom weapons have to have the number of upgrade slots specified in their ini files, so you would simply need to edit the number there.

Precisely, I specifically mention what this mod changes of which the SPARK weapons were not included.
I know it was never ment to affect spark weapons.
Please read the description, I have also commented about it previously why.
Please unsubscribe and resubscribe to the mod as your download might have been corrupted.
After resubscribing please look for the mod folder "1126004226" in the <SteamApps\workshop\content\268500> directory and make sure there are files inside.
I need a bit more information to really help you.
I'm assuming that when you say installed you have clicked the subscribed button, have you also activated the mod in the game launcher?
When you say the slots are not added, do you mean you only see the one slot or do the weapons not allow upgrades?
Are you using any other mod that makes changes to weapons?
i found the folders and the files and the lines but..this is going to take some time.
would be a waste to just do it for myself.

You can edit the number of upgrade slots for that mod already.
To do that you need to go to <steamapps\workshop\content\268500\1132835147\Config\Weapons\> open the .ini files with the text editor of your choice and search for "iNumUpgradeSlots" change the number associated with it to how many slots you want.
This will work with any mod that adds a new weapon as they must define how many slots it has.
I only made this mod because the default weapons didn't have an easily visible variable that you can edit in a config file.
if some sort of compatability patch could be done that would be awsome.
I just believe it'll be super cool if this one compatible with Resistance Firearms~ : )

I sort of answered both your questions ealier in the comments but to sum it up.
I can add control for Spark and Alien Hunter Weapons but I will only do it in a seperate mod as all it takes to cause the mod to break is unchecking the WotC modified DLC even if you leave the original DLC active.
