Check about a billion times that you put the right files in the right folder. Do you have a particularly wide monitor?

Problem solved.

You have to make the custom folder just you take the files out of the file then you put it in the custom folder. Pretty much don't put a folder in the custom folder just put the files in the custom folder.

Actually I got it to work.

It seems a lot of people are having problems with this. The only possible reason I can think of is that insurgency uses different bakcgrounds for particularly wide screens. If you have a monitor like this that's probably why and I can start working on fixing it right away

Steam downloads them to the workshop folder and if the mod is broken you should copy them to the custom folder. If it's freezing during loading screens that's normal, and there's no way to fix it.

Did you try moving the .vpk file to the custom folder?
