Dark Bum doesn't try to collect the heart if you exit and continue Bumball World Cup.

Also a much better idea for Shady Business. 1. Remove all of the rooms that make it impossible to dodge, like the one Nifaxizzi mentioned. 2. Make it so the Shade doesnt instakill, but instead does 1 heart of damage, and 3. Every 2 floors another Shade spawns.

By the way you should remove incubus from the item pool on the familiar challenge because it can appear, costs 2 hearts, but is useless.

A lot of rooms make Shady business an instant death but most noticeably the single corridor with 5 bomb flies, its impossible to outrun the shade in a straight line.
