You are allowed to edit the files however you see fit, just know that custom files will not be custom downloaded unless you publish it as a separate addon, and though I won't require it, credit would be appreciated

I should have asked this in my first question but didn't think about it at first would it be possible to edit the png files? Like adding in my own png files in the pulse file? Also thanks for getting back to me with some helpful tips

Thats a good question. If you extract the file with gmad, you can edit the strings for them to be different. Just make sure there are no spaces or the whole thing gets borked.

Is it possible to edit the script to allow Private, PVT, or both? Is it strictly supposed to only be Pvt, PFC, LCpl, etc etc as in shown in the cl_player_rankicons.lua file?

You have to use the abbreviation given after the name of the rank (e.x Private would be Pvt, Lance Corporal would be LCpl, and so on)

I also apologize if you are confused about the ranks, due to me shortening down the entire description to summarize what I have, I had to summarize due to me having over 100 lines of insignias
