I had something strange happen. I had 2 courtiers with genius marry and I granted them a title. Some years later I checked in on them and they had 7 kids, all with the "quick" trait, not a single genius child. Just think something might off in this mods calculations for child traits in other courts besides your own. Perhaps something that happens randomly, most families I put together like this have random traits. This one was just... weird.

That improved genetics mod is actually kinda bad. Gonna try this and hopefully will be less garbage characters/children in the game.

Yes I think it just adds new txts with traits, couldn't find those files using search in mod folder (they are all extracted).

No. The author of that is using an actual genetics model whereas this mod simply increases the chance that congenital traits will be based down if both parents have the trait.

Wow. There are people who are actually complaining about the name of this mod? A Crusader Kings 2 mod, where you literally practice eugenics in the base game in order to get desired traits in offspring, by selecting who can breed and who can't? That really takes some doing.. xD

Anyway, great mod. I hate having all my good traits just disappearing in offspring. Even cousin marriage won't often save them. -_-

It depends. With one parent having Genius, it's vanilla chance. With both parents having it, I believe it's doubled of vanilla.

This mod in conjunction with Sketchy Traits will vastly increase 'Low Fertility' being passed on, as well as fertile, resilient, well-endowed, etc. Great mod, does what it says!

WELP, one more "eugenics" mod that doesn't do what I hoped. Every time I see one of these I think someone finally made base attribute scores pass down instead of being trait based and every time I'm disappointed.

So I guess I just have to keep posting this on every single one of these that pops up till it finally happens.

Just checked again it was a custom char, so who knows if i might have ticked inbred on by accident. He wasn't inbred, so I guess i was just REALLY unlucky lol.

There is no base chance to get inbred. Was your character inbred? If so, you just got unlucky; which happens in small sample sizes.

Uhm okay, so the thing is, which reminded me that i've tried this mod before. There is way too big a chance of your children being "inbred" I had 10 children, 6 male, of them 4 was inbred, I had 4 girls, of them none was inbred, which i found odd, furthermore it was only the children I had gotten through seduction that were inbred, even though they werent related to my dynasty, I don't know how much of these facts are related to each other..

The buff dosn't sound like a bad idea, it really is a weak trait at the moment.

does this work with the hip mod ?

I'm not sure how you guys would feel about this (which is why I'm asking), but I felt like buffing the attractive trait only made sense considering how much worse it is than even strong. I was thinking I'd add some diplomacy to attractive (1 or 2), split the attraction opinion into +10 vassal opinion and +20 attraction opinion and then move the +10% fertility from strong to attractive (I imagine you're more likely to have sex if you're attractive, but that could just be speculation).

Me and my friend tried this mod out in multiplayer, and (as a republic) we encountered a glitch where each others decisions affected the others game.
