Yeah that's kind of a bug atm, since the other ship collides with the stuff behind the shield. Not really high priority to fix however.

Well I got a ship together with the shields to try it as a ramming ship... and I have to say I found it rather underwhelming, it seems that you will take damage regardless so it isn't really any better than just adding a bunch of extra front armour.... Oh well more things to try I guess :D

And my game crashed and ate my build :'( never mind I'll try again next week...

And to be honest I think it may have been the missiles were not firing through the thrusters arc... or vice versa... So I may hvae been crazy in the first place. :D

I was worried about that and just tested it, they fire through/around just fine?

So that is good! My original plan for the ramming shields was for more of an emergency/counter ramming shield anyways, but good to know either way.

I think that your ramming shields are going to conflict with the firing of some of your torps. :(
