Hey, the submarine is meant to be used as a "special" vehicle on designed routes, not mixed with "normal" ferry lines. Beside this it makes more sense when a submarine is slower than a ferry. Theres a simple solution for your problem, just use the "Advanced Vehicle Options" Mod and adjust the speed to something what fits your scenario.

Hey, you might want to increase the speed from these things from 5 to 10, because they cause large ferry backups if you have regular ferries on the same line as these guys.
