I mean it's the same with every other faction, There is no dukedom called "Bretonnia" or dwarven faction called just "Dwarves"

When you unite all of norsca under one banner is it really just one tribe and not a united norscan people? The naming scheme for the major factions aren't designed for the first few turns but for after you've united your land and start dealing with other races.
But what this does though is make it more fun to unite the norscan clans as allies by subjugating them as you're not named "Norsca" even though every other faction will be alive, like what you do with chaos. So props for making that playstyle more inviting.

Is there any hope of you adding this to the second game? I beg, it's such a wonderful improvement over the diseased bright yellow currently.

I like the name change, but not the color change. Will it effect my reskin mod?

@shadowfaxe7 I was thinking about the following: Kingdom of Norsca, Norscan Tribes, Norscan Union, Kingdom of the Norsii, etc. This is actually rather unprecedented, because if I remember my lore correctly, Norsca has never been united and never had a single King - even when there was Morkar or the Kurgan Asavar Kul who conquered it, there were still parts of Norsca that were either uninhabited or rebelious. So we are left to make up our own warhammer "history"

You could always just drop Norscan in front of Sarls - or just 'The Sarls' if it bothers people that much

As for this being from Star Wars - it's just artwork and it's better than the X-Games skull that CA came up with :P

THANK YOU! Back when Norsca wasn't a full faction it wasn't that bad - but now that Norsca is a full faction it's just jarring to see it called Norsca because that would be like calling Britain, France, Germany or Switzerland 'Europe' :P

This changes the banners for a bunch of the other factions as well (empire/beastemen for instance) like the wolf banner but could do without the extras.

@S-1567 it might be inspired and disney can feel free to claim it anytime, but they did not make it and they did not spend one evening exporting and importing dds textures into photoshop, nor did they spend 4+ hours on a painting tablet. my girlfriend did. I think its called transformative work. If she or I were actively selling this, then we would be having a problem :P

@pleeb well, there are actually way more Norscan tribes in the lore than those that are represented in the game; there are at least two more major tribes - the Hastlings and Kvelligs. And there are many minor tribes, Gorehunt, Snaegr, Sortsvinear, Ironpelt, Brennuns, Crow-Brothers, Wolfclaw, Stormravens, Wyrmkin, Kin-Slayers, Beast-Flayers, Blackaxes, Fjordlings, etc. These are just the few that I could fine on the End Times wikia. So as a replacers for the current Sarl faction, I guess I will pick one of those :)

@le Masterpiece, thank you! Once Norsca comes out I will put this as their banners, since I am not a huge fan of the golden skull with the chaos star behind it... I think I will also rename them to "Sarls", since "Norsca" is the continent, not a faction and Wulfrik is a Sarl. It would be like playing Germany in a Total War and their faction name would be "Europe", nonsense, just pure nonsense...
