I think one of my favorite things about this map is the fact that you put in almost all the key stations in all of Amtrak's lines. So I can have a fun time with recreating those.

It failed for me, says hieghtmap too large

Well, at least it makes more sense visually/game play wise. On these long distances trains make a few runs per year, instead of taking months to go from one station to the next.

In this sense, time scale is relevant to the map scale.

The 2x and 4x slower progression mods won't help with making a more extensive network in the same in-game time. You make 2x or 4x less money respectively because the game calculates your income and running costs off in-game speed.

If you're going to be editing config files, you can use Notepad++ - It's a wonderful program from editing configs, scripts, (you can select language etc), and it's free/open-source, don't pay a penny for it. Opens and edits anything, even if you're not supposed to edit it or it's machine code (don't!).

Notepad T, is the file viewer i used that worked. Free in the app store. I am on PC.

I Found the problem! The file reader i had installed to view this file wasnt actually saving the change, but was showing me that it was changed, weird i know. I downloaded a different file reader and was able to make the change, save the file and everything works fine now!

I have now double checked the instructions, i followed them correctly the first time, my experimental map is set to "true" and yet when i try to load the map i get number of pixels must not exceed 16m. If there is more to do, or soething else to change, please advise, ty.

I think you have a problem with enabling larger map sizes. 16m pixels is the existing max size of the maps, before enabling experimental map sizes. Go look at the step-by-step instructions, and do it again. Problem should be solved.

Turned my experimental maps on but keep getting the error "Heightmap to large. Number of pixels must not exceed 16M. How do i fix that?

i would love to see a full Canadian map

When i try to load this map it says its file is too big. I have experimental map set to true. Is there more i need to change to use this map? If so, please explain what to do, ty.
