Your blocks work in pairs like the fusion block?
Because I'm looking for a boarding block that would not require a second block and what do you think is possible?
My goal would be to board enemy ships once defeated in order to access them or to be able to connect the grid to pass the frequency for the shield defense mod

thank you very much for the support, I know i should have got the update out by now but space engineers is giving me a headache trying to resolve the airtight issue.

see how long last update was Nov 7, 2018 I think it's safe to say it was space engineers after all lot old rider mods went form still working to missing texture pink in 2019 and still not fix

Im just checking because im having difficulty diagnosing why the blocks are airtight, but does anyone remember if it was an update i did that broke it or a space engineers update?

Just for the heads up the next up date i'm working on will probably be the last major up date for this mod, due to this reason i will be adding door variants for each merge type and hopefully a new connector passage way. After this it will only be patch updates.

I'll do what i can, it's been awhile since i worked on this mod and hopefully they have updated the toolbox script. Most of the issues seem to come from the script space engineers provide for modding. I believe they are using an outdated script in their toolbox.

Not sure why but this mod doesnt work. The blocks will not merge at all, even after perfectly aligning the grids neither the tunnel or the passage will merge even though the vanilla merge blocks work perfectly. please fix this mod, I would love to be able to use this. (Im playing in experimental mode if that makes any difference???)

Great mod. Bad engine. Havok sucks. Merge blocks should work fine but don't because Havok. Havok sucks again. Good mod again. Exc exc exc...

One thing that would fix a lot of problems is an air tight connector, that way you can merge blocks without having them get stuck together they way they do when you use a circle of merge blocks.

Don't know if this is intentional, but both blocks are completely airtight on every side. So I can slap one of these on the exterior of a ship and create and open passage from a pressurized area into open space without a door in between. Seems weird. And also means that when passing through a pair of these blocks there is no air in the middle. The tunnel should probably be airtight on 4/6 sides, and the passage on 3/6 sides (like the vanilla passage).

Anyway, this is a great mod, should be in vanilla, so I'm glad to know it isn't dead. Keep up the good work!

Sorry for the delay in updates, ive been working on a fallout 4 mod for a little while that has had me distracted, once done my prioroties will return to this mod and i will make door variants. As usual thanks for the support. This mod isnt dead.

Don't know if anyone else is having this problem, but as of this morning, this mod is crashing my game. Worlds with this mod in use won't load, and attempting to load a blueprint that uses it outright crashes the game to desktop. Loads fine as soon as I remove it. Just wanted to say something in case other people are experiencing such random crashes.

Once again, the regular issues with the detection empties are due to the rotation. My wall of text from March should have done it, but here's a screenshot showing the issue - note the RGB axes of the empties.

I do plan to come back to this and see if either offsetting or resizing the detection empties, i have compared the script against other mods and theres nothing wrong with the script.

Sorry to report this seems to be broken. The blocks will not merge at all. My ships also take a lot of damage around the merge tunnel/passage when trying to merge.

will be updating shortly, i know i promised to have this up sooner but i did not know that when space engineers toolbox updated they screyed up the mwm builder, luckerly someone upload an old working copy to dropbox.

I also think a built-in door would be great. Offset to the side that merges so that when disconnected the exterior of the ship would be flush with a sealed hatch where the merge block is.

If a door is not possible then may I also suggest floor panels?
or an interior light fixture like some of the interior passages by AViegarien?

I would like to confirm within the next week or so there will be an update to this mode, im adding a passage version aswell as one or two custom blocks i feel should be in the game. please put forward any suggestions.

For clarification, I seem to only be able to get them to detect each other when sliding them past each other, face to face, with each tunnel centered on the wall of the other, though only from certain directions.

I have noticed that these get very clangy when they do detect and try to align, as well as when they finally connect. Try turning the strength down to 0.1 instead of 0.2 (identical to Vanilla).

From what I've seen in Debug, the detector dummies are not only smaller (giving a smaller field of tolerance when finding the proper connection point), but they also seem rotated? The detecting face of the vanilla merge block detects a connection face-on, when the red axes facing each other. Your merge tunnel's detection dummy seems rotated 180 degrees, with the red positive axes facing away. This might explain the strange behavior. I'm not entirely certain, the solution seems to lie outside of my sphere of knowledge. Expanding the size and re-examining/comparing the details of the detector dummies should prove helpful in solving the problem, I believe.
