I just press the random location button while blocking the rest of the screen with my hand til I press next

which reminds me, would you consider adding a third option? current pawns random location? I like to place myself into the game through EDB mod, but want to land somewhere random. :)

I know you said you're not actively maintaining it... but I hope you reconsider. This is the best starting mod for the game there is and it will be greatly missed if it's not updated for B19 and eventually 1.0. This is THE best mod for we few non-easymoders that don't use carebear ♥♥♥♥ like Prepare Carefully.

I don't even need to subscribe to this mod to tell it sucks. You might land in a desert with an average temperture of 48 degrees C, and have colonist with drug addictions and almost no good skills, what if most of your colonist are incapible of building. Or they have very bad building and you can't build energy sources.

I think the reason you can choose the landing site is because you're an AI their crashed ship, and you have to help them survive

Ahhh ok. That's useful to know and kind of removes the impetus to want the feature there in the first place :)

@Gee I burned myself out on Rimworld not too long ago so not actively maintaining, no, though I did have that exact same thought myself. The reason I didn't implement it was twofold: 1 was that there was something annoying stopping me from implementing it easily and the more important one to me is that randomizing scenerios rarely lead to anything remotely fun to play when I was trying those for a while. Usually just 231 wooden feet scattered around the map, or the like.

Are you still maintaining this? If so... do you think you could add a button to also randomize + skip the scenario selection, leaving only the storyteller as a choice?

Thx @Goog. I meant on different parts of the world. I always play with at least a character that looks like myself, that's why I asked :) Can't get rid of the rol player in me...

Random on the map or random on different parts of the world? It's probably possible either way, but outside the scope of what I wanted this mod to do.

I considered making a video, but ended up not doing it since the functionality is so simple that it doesn't really need a demo or anything to be understood. Still, if that's your thing I'd be more than happy to add anything you make to the page.
