This map is great... but the noise is horrible.
I understand the original intent but the noise makes the map unplayable.
If the constant thunder was removed completely this would be a very popular map and I for one would play it to death.

Yeah like you said, the thunder is kinda crazy--too crazy--but this map is AMAZING!!! I love the wyvern area--very realistic and not the long scar like every other map. I love the Green ob area too with the underground maze and all the artifact caves are really well thought out. The ruins are well placed and the lighting underground is very fun. Just SO MUCH potential for this map! Great job and I really hope we all get to see a finished product--or that Ark makes it official! Really nice! Well done!

This map is Incredible.... First time map maker for ark???. all I can say is WOW, please keep updating.. this map has ARK sponsorship written all over it. look out Crystal isles.there's a new map in town. keep up the good work!

This map is beautiful and I'd go as far as saying it's near the level of Iso's Crystal Isles superficially however the thunder bug makes it unplayable for me far too frequent and is yet to be fixed for months on end. Lot's of potential but needs more care

I´m not familiar with the Crystal isles map and its current completion status so I cannot comment on that. What I can say is that currently Ancient Mars is in a somewhat playable state. As of right now there is a sound bug that is causing the thunderstrike sound from the dragonboss arena to be heard across the entire map. That is something i am working on fixing atm. Furthermore 1 sublevel in the redwood boime is missing foliage and one ocean level too. 1 Cave the labyrinth has missing meshes these I need to relink and fix aswell plus some smaller tweaks here and there. E.g I believe that the wyverns still dont lay eggs. Im attempting to roll out another update next month or so that hopefully contains all the tweaks and fixes. For some of these fixes I need to do alot of research as Im not familiar within these areas of expertise. :)

If you were to compare this map to completion of another workshop map, would you say Ancient Mars is about as complete as Crystal Isles in it's current state?

Nailed down the problem alongside a couple of other issues that came to my attention e.g boss defeats not rewarding tek engrams. Fix will be around late night gmt

Something isnt right with the Boss Arenas. They arent hidden in the game world as they should be. Looking into it

Upcoming update will include all 3 Boss Arenas known from The Island Map and adjustments to dino spawns. Specifically WyvernNests, Gigas and Quetz.

Currently busy with studying game design. Once I have enough time again and am on my pc not laptop i´ll continue.

also it seems the some of the land mass is off the map book. So when flying around your off the map book but still over land

any idea when the next update might be by chance?

@Yummy can i have the locations of the artifacts. ive been looking for a while now and i cant find them all

you can always use -MapModID=#### and skip the map name in the beginning. Then, the server browser and it will tell you the actual map name.

ah ok ty for the fast response :D and no worries, i don't have a clue about how to do obelisks eiher ha,i will gladly add this map to the cluster once there are obelisk xD

As for setting it up for cluster, the obelisk terminals have not been set up yet due to my lack of knowledge in how to do it. It´s pretty much at the end of my list

could you please put the map name for the command line up there in the description? would really like to possibly add this map to our cluster for a raid/event map since it looks amazing!... its a bit frustrating to try and guess the map name and restart it multiple times since it wont load because im not putting correct mapname, i've tried AncientMars and Ancient_Mars, maybe im just doing something wrong and it's one of those two. thank you

Could you check at Lat32,7/Lon33,0 i have their flying trees, iron and obsidian. Would be nice if i could gather them but my arms arent long enough.
