I eventually got it to work. Turns out its just something annoying Vanilla does sometimes. My bad, thanks for the response though. Great Mod!

This mod would have no effect on that. Have you technically "discovered" the node yet, as in you have enough of the node uncovered so you can click on the node button. Trade and fog of war can work strange like that, with you having trade power in a node but technically can't access it until it is in your trade range and enough FOW has been uncovered. Nevertheless, I don't think my mod is related to the problem; it's either a glitch or part of the more arcane aspects of how EU4 handles trade "access".

I'm playing as Portugal and the year is 1594 (almost to Mingsplosion, yay).

I have 8% trade power in the Canton trade node with a Merchant present, but I cannot send ships to protect trade in Canton or any of the Chinese/Japanese trade nodes. Is this a bug?

Only mods I'm running are this, Qing shall Rise, and Historical Flags.

I think you can write about the disaster of the Little Ice Age, reducing commodity output and increasing insurgency. This disaster can last for about a hundred years. I think it's more scientific.

Not sure if this still works, using it alongside extended timeline and your Qing mod, and the event in the comments below gives development in your country, year is currently 1664 and the Qing are still a 1 providence tribe and ming is still whole.

Well yeah there the mod called The collapse of ming, it basically just balances it a bit better by having it worse for low mandate but better for high mandate, i will try to disable it and do the command, sorry for some reason the mod was desabled the time i was playing, i enabled it the first time so i dont know what happened, now working all fine

Ok, but i am sure, i tag switched to ming and there wasnt any modifier in the goverment tab and they didnt have for example decreased dip rep, so i dont know

It will trigger regardless, so long as it is any date after 1600.

Updated.
Now the penalties are no longer applied through a triggered modifiers but through and event to prevent game slowdown.

They are designed to work together as well as they work on their own; that is to say they are compatible yet work alone if only one is chosen. I prefer to keep my mods compartmentalized so that the users can pick and choose which mods of mine they wish to use.

I don't know, I'm not familiar enough with ET. If they changed tag names, it would disable it, if not it might work. Again, I don't design my mods with ET in mind.

It should would work properly, as I don't edit any of the games core files, but merely add an additional triggered modifier. I can't speak for it's balance, as I've yet to test it with Cradle/the latest patch.

The desired effect might be created through a similar triggered modifier, which applies penalties if the an ai nation goes over a certain development/state limit, and then applies a certain amount a drastic amount of unrest and/or corruption. You could look in my mod.zip to see how I coded mine, then decide what amount of development is too much and what penalty you think appropriate.
Triggered Modifiers are generally very cross-mod friendly because you can add one without having to overwrite or change any of the game's base files.

Ming usually collapses before the Corruption penalty has a chance to Negate the unrest penalty.

A series of triggered modifiers adding more unrest at bookmark number (multiples of 10/20/25 or something) to mitigate or downright remove the corruption unrest reduction, could, theoretically, allow Ming to stack up Corruption without negating the unrest malus, albeit given reddbane is looking for a simple modification, this might cross what limits he figures as "too invasive".

This isn't really the place to talk about this. Paradox Interactive has it's own website, and Customer forum and a dedicated section where you can make suggestions to the developers regarding the game mechanics. ( https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php?forums/ ) That would be the place to address your thoughts. Steam, as well as myself, are in no way involved with the development of Europa Universalis 4, and this thread is really only for discussion or critique of this particular fan mod, and overhauling the game's corruption mechanics was never the intended goal of this mod. Your thoughts on EU4's corruption system are much more likely to receive feedback if you post on the developers official forum. Although, if you know how to do the work, there is nothing stopping you from creating your own mod that tweaks the Corruption system to your preferences.

Ummm . . . I don't control Eu4 corruption mechanics, maybe you should talk to paradox. All this is is a mod that makes Ming collapse in the proper era.

(back to me) Even if the Corruption of the nation's officials does not cause unrest, the massive public outcry from the peasents, particularists, or even the sepratists groups at the lack of care and maitenece of the nation would tear it appart faster than a computer's proccesing speed. (bit of over exaggeration but get the idea) thus corruption should cause massive unrest and not decrease it

If I store enough money I can build the most luxrious mansion and spend time with all the ladies in all the brothells all the time. Now how do I get the biggest share of my nation's income? I could setup some piracy oppertations, siffon off funds that our ruler has entursted me with, but that would take forever. Wait just moment! I could take over the throne and control the entire nations income! Now to trick some of my fellow officials into causing a rebellion....

To clarify what I meant by previous comment: Corruption should not reduce unrest it should increase it, Here's why: Corruption is all about taking bribes and doing favors for people or just using the money on personal pleasure often at the expense of everyone else. (for explanation purposes I will act as a corrupt official, thinking to myself, in the next comment)

Updated to prevent Ming from being kept afloat by it's Tributaries. Penalties also increased because Ming was still staying intact and Emperor for way longer than I expected without direct player intervention.
