It still should, are you sure your game is in english and you didn't install other mods that override mine?
Only in the Empire Divided DLC, I called them "Province of Bakthar" since this was the name of the sasanian Satrapy and the Graeco Baktrian Empire did not exist anymore.
That's why i created a submod for Aurelian, to at least let him be kind of dynamic. However, I won't do submods, for every specific Government type. It's not that hard to change a single faction name via modding, you can try that on your own ;)
Antiochos III, the Seleucid king/emperor who first fought against the Romans assumed the title "Basileius Megas" which is Greek for Great King.
Talking about the Greek populace in the Seleucid Empire, they probably just call themselves Macedonians as Nox pointed out.
English was heavily influenced by Latin, therefore most of the names we gave to the several factions, are quite similar, to what Romans would've called them.
But if there is no appropriate nomenclature for the faction in English, like recently "Baktria", we will use the native Names.
However, the Empire is ruled by the Dynasty of Seleukos. "Seleucid Empire"
It's quite similar to the persians, for example the Sassanid Empire, took their Name from their eponymous ancestor Sasan.
It is actually not that hard, to rename factions. Try making it by yourself with the Assembly Kit. Just google around a bit.
That's it.
~Nox
Other names are just very weird. "Seleucid" for example. What does that mean? Shouldn't it be "Seleucid Empire" ? I might be German, but my English is not the worst, but I would guess that "Seleucid" is an adjective. Or did they miss an "S" and it was supposed to be "Seleucids" ?
Doesn't matter. We improved it.
