I think that i have found a solution.
When you are in the costume battle setup, then you can just drag your name from the left side to right and the CPU to the left. At least that worked for me

If you haven't then try downloading the North & South II mod. There are building models on the map that are only included in that mod, so it will probably crash without it.

I've got an idea of what could be causing the problem but its a bit complicated.

First try going into C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Shogun2\maps and delete the fort wagner folder there, then start up the game again so it redownloads it.

Does it crash while loading or while playing?

The map file should be in C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Shogun2\maps

It keeps crashing....Any reason why?

I decided to edit this map a bit. Fort Wagner might look a lot less imposing now but its more historically accurate and better to play on imo. Also added EF lines on the walls, changed it to 1vs4, and its in Siege battles. Note that even with the EF lines you can still position artillery on the walls in front of your infantry. If anyone still plays this then tell me what ya think.

@Altairhw3 Thank you! Yeah Its a great map! It's a bummer I can't figure out how to do regular custom battles online so I owuldn't have to face the A.I. :/ But I will check out the Frerdicksburg Map for sure! :)

I think that's probably the better of the two maps. Was thinking of doing some work to Fort Wagner, add EF lines so you can position your men on the walls better, maybe redo the fort.

Thanks, I was using 2 full armies of attackers and they were trying to extend further than the map allowed. I greatly appreciate the speedy response.

They might be getting stuck because there are too many units and not enough room across for them to get into formation before attacking. I'll try to expand the beach a little on that part of the map and see if that works. But as for now if thats the case then just try using a cavalry unit to attack them and they should start moving after that.

The Ai keeps moving all of its troops to the rear of the map and sits there instead of attacking. I've properly designated attackers and defenders, they just won't advance on the fort.

Next time please read the description. You have to move your name to the right side of the custom battles menu and the AI's to the left. That sets which side of the map you spawn on. Also make sure you click the button in the middle so that you are defending.

As for the AI not the defending the fort, for some reason it just won't. Its just not possible to make the AI defend a set area of ground if its not a castle on a siege map.

When your at the custom battle screen click and drag your name at the top of the screen to the right side of the menu and the enemies' to the left side. That will make you spawn on the opposite side of the map. It works on any other map. Thanks! glad you like the map, now try it on the defensive side ;)

Like, how the ENEMY can position his troops so well... Idk if that guy on youtube was defending but either way on the utube vid Death Vally (or the map Narrow death) he is o the otrher side of map but he has like 2 enemies instead of just 1 and when I try it, i can only put 1... I'm confused lol... But anyway i love this map!

What do you mean? like positioning your troops on the right side of the map or positioning them in the fort?

It was... But any one know how you can position the enemy troops? On youtube, this guy named GeneralOda has the best battle set ups and Idk how he does it... It's like both sides are pefectly set up

Saw gettysburg in some youtube clips, sometimes I scream "bayonneeets!" remembering Bill Pullman or also the clip about the Pickett's charge with musical effort by 3 songs trilogy made by heavy metal band Iced Earth (do you know 'em?). @DramaBelli Very nice, yes, I love Glory. Have you seen Gettysburg or Ride With the Devil? Those are 2 other great American Civil War movies.

Saw this film tons of times and everytime I arrived at the end with my throat dry and wet eyes. I feel really near the good man Col. Shaw. film starts with a poetry and finishes with sacrifice. Before than a soldier, he was a man for words and verses. I must try this map. cheers from Italy.
