i actually like the swamp area its a bit challenging if you are in the allied side my only problem is that some parts of it are really deep making tanks and infantry unable to cross making them a sitting target

To mom's spaghetti: Look at workshop and take "The new Orel". In this map i changed the Orel map deleting the swamp area. Good luck.

units get bogged down at the waterways and gets most of my troops killed either by artillery or airstrikes

Yes it is a map of the first Eastern Front mod. I revised it about weather and highlighted the fords of the main river.

It's a very old Eastern Front mod map, from 2010 or 2012 I believe.

Other than the weird water sections, this map isn't too bad.
